What is Google Doing? Rating Your Website Content.

SEO Laptop with magnifier glassWondering what Google is doing? Have you searched and looked for information from respected SEO companies and online marketing companies? Finding accurate information is almost impossible, and there is lots of conjecture and conflicting data about what really works. Is it technical? Is it your URL? Do you need more incoming links, a better blog, press releases, video or photos? The whole issue of ranking on Google is so confusing that most companies turn it over to a firm who manages SEO, and hope for the best.

There is one factor that cannot be disputed, and is the most important to you and your company. Yes, you want visitors to your site, but just visiting your site will do nothing for your bottom line. Maybe the visitor even “likes” you. Actually, what you need is new customers or clients. If you can’t interest a potential customer, your hard work (and money spent) is essentially wasted. It could be argued that there is value in having “visibility.” Our theory at Creative WordCraft, Inc. is that visibility is awesome, but getting new customers is the real issue.

If you want to interest potential customers, it is all about your website content. Are you presenting content that is interesting, engaging, and actually reaches through the screen to the reader and grabs their attention? If so, you are far, far more likely to get a new customer. Granted, there are technical matters that make a difference. A fresh, clean looking site that is easy to navigate is critical. On the flip side, a beautiful site with all the technical bells and whistles that has boring, duplicate or dry content won’t do much for your bottom line. No one will read more than a few words before leaving your site.

Website Content Matters: The Human Element

Those who search online for a source for any service or product are far more sophisticated than in the past. They know what they are looking for, and they can search quickly. You have literally seconds in which to engage interest. No one wants to read dry, boring or fluff content. As your reader is a human being, whether a corporate executive or a random potential customer, you need the “human” side of your business to show through. Tweak their curiosity. Be original. Be human. And make sure you have interesting and original content. We can help.
