Workflow: How We Manage Our Writing Assignments

At Creative WordCraft, we are obsessive about delivering on time. Well, that is just ONE of our obsessions – we have a few! With a range of clients, each requesting very different types of content, in all sorts of industries, each with specific deadlines and specifications, we need to track everything perfectly.

We are organized.

We chose a project management system that works for us, and all of our assignments are loaded in as they arrive, and then assigned to the writer (or writers for larger projects) that we are confident will do the best job. The system tracks workflow, alerts us when a project is due, and allows us to manage a great volume of assignments easily.

We are obsessed with quality.

Our main obsession is to produce original, relevant, optimized content that is interesting and answers real questions posed by users. In order to hit the mark, it helps to understand the client’s specifications thoroughly before we even begin a project. This may include asking the client for links to other content that they like, or examples of work they have approved in the past, or possibly a site map so we understand the bigger picture surrounding an upcoming site launch. The more we know, the better job we can do at producing perfect content. Our writers are capable of writing in any voice or style and can craft optimized content for almost any industry. With a few examples or notes, it makes the process flow smoothly and in the end, everyone is happy!

We have talented writers.

We know our writers well, and we understand which one will have the talent to meet the challenge. As all content created at our company flows back through our editing department, we have the opportunity to tweak it a bit, and make it just that much better prior to submission. Once complete, we run it through a plagiarism/duplicate content checker for an added level of certainty.

We do it all.

The content is then submitted to the client, in a Microsoft Word file (unless another format is requested). Some of our clients ask for metatags, or want links added to the content, which we do frequently. Some want us to upload blogs to their site and add an image, which is not a problem on our end.

That’s the simple version of how we work. It doesn’t include that we listen to pop, jazz, traditional, and sometimes – just can’t help it – 80’s rock, and how much we laugh. Let’s just say, we work hard, and we like to make it fun – the perfect combination.
